Good: The ship was immaculate. The shore excursion staff did an exceptional job in difficult circumstances involving tender limitations. The children loved the children's program and the pools. The cabin was fine for its catagory and well maintained. Public areas appeared to be in good shape. Entertainment staff was good.
Mediocre: Service was inconsistent and sometimes indifferent.
Poor: Much of the food was of very poor quality and inedible. Dining room service was indifferent except in the pay restaurants. Pay restaurant value not good- an extra $10 for pizza and pasta is absurd! High end steak house ($25-$35 additional) was not anywhere close to the quality as other cruise lines. NCL does not solicit customer feedback (and doesn't want it when offered). A mandatory "service" fee of $12/person is collected daily but tipping is expected on top of the service fee in the restaurants and in the childrens care department. Hand washing was not required (other cruise lines require hand sanitation prior to entering dining areas) We will not travel with NCL again.

The service model is very poor. No incentive for good service. No way to provide feedback. Quality of food at all venues was below par.
I would not reccomend this cruise to others.
