You won’t find a casino on the Pride of America because of its destination. Gambling is illegal in Hawaii, but there are plenty of other facilities and activities to keep you fully occupied during the day. At the Rascal’s Children’s Center there are programs for children aged 3 to 12, but toddlers must be potty trained. The programs are different for specific age groups and there are loads of activities to provide them with fun. Teenagers delight in the Connections Teen Club where parents are off-limits. However, they can look in to check up on the activities. All programs are supervised by qualified staff.

Do you enjoy playing chess? If so, you will be thrilled with the large outdoor chess board on Deck 13, where you can get to meet some of your like-minded fellow passengers. If indoor games are your passion, then the Shuffles Card Room may be more to your taste. Here you will find plenty of tables and chairs where you can set up a card game or a board game of your choice.



The SS American Library is well-stocked with all genres of literature and provides a quiet repose where you can curl up in a comfy chair with a good book. Check out a few to take to your cabin or to read as you sunbathe by the pool. For those who want some quiet time alone, there is a chapel on the Pride of America as well as a Lifestyles Room where you can write letters.

Shop at the Newbury Street Shops with its wide selection of brand name stores. You will feel as if you are actually walking along a street and popping into stores at your leisure to browse the extensive selections.
The SoHo Art Gallery has many fine pieces of artwork that you can just browse or select one or two to take back home. See the wide range of photos in the Photo Gallery and have your photograph taken so that you have a souvenir of your cruise. The Conservatory is a quiet place with floor to ceiling windows where you can enjoy the view as you chat with your friends or read the best seller you brought with you. And, if you forgot to bring your laptop, the Internet Center has a bank of computers that you can use to check in with those at home.
