The nightlife is always hopping with eleven bars and lounges to choose from. If you want to entertain your fellow passengers step up to the mike in the private Karaoke Bar. Choose from cigar bars, those specializing in specialty wines, bars where you can sit and listen to the gentle strains of piano music or lounges where you can spend the night on the dance floor and dance until the wee hours of the morning. Since there are no timetables on the Norwegian Gem, you can sleep as late as you like and have breakfast delivered to your room.



Take in a Broadway style production or laugh until the tears roll out of your eyes at the antics of the Second City Comedy Performance. Curl up with a good book from the library in one of the comfy chairs in the bars and in the reception area or engage in conversation with your fellow passengers as you get to make new friends.

The 10-metre high climbing wall on the upper deck provides you with the opportunity to take in the sights from an amazing vantage point – if you are not afraid of heights that is. Shop in then elegantly designed shopping area of the ship for souvenirs to take back home, things you forgot to pack or bargains that catch your eye. All the shops are arranged so that you will feel as if you are in a shopping mall back home.
